The floral offerings were many and beautiful, especially a pillow inscribed: "Father," from the family. The pall beareres were four brothers: D.E. Holt, Wheeler, Texas; R. B. Holt, Stonington, Colo.; H.W. Holt, Parkville, Mo.; M.M. Holt, Uniontown, Kansas,; and two sons Samuel and Edward Holt. Miles E. Holt was the second son of the late Samuel Holt and was born January 11, 1872, and died November 30, 1924. He was married to Cora B. Bolyard in November 1895. As a son he was ever dutiful, as a father and husband he was always faithful to his trust. Morally, he was above reproach, and as a business man, he was careful, honest and diligent. In the already broken family circle his absence will be deeply felt. Left to mourn their loss are his wife, two sons, five daughters, five brothers and one sister, besides other relatives and many friends. The Cicerone joins the community in its heartfelt sympathy for the family.
