Cora Ellis Austin, eldest daughter of George W and Caroline Ellis was born Feb. 8, 1868 in Limerick, III., and died Dec. 6. 1966 at the Broken Bow hospital. At the ago of seven, she moved with her parents to York County, Nebraska, where she grew to womanhood. On Oct 22 1885. she was united in marriage to Elmer Eugene Austin, at York She was preceded in death by her husband on July 3, 1944, and an infant son, Vilas. Survivors include two sons, Sterl Austin of New York City, and Boyd Austin of Broken Bow; three daughters, Mrs. Eitel Schipporeit of Broken Bow, Mrs. Ruie Griffith of Bridgeport and Mrs. Avis Copp of Comstock and a sister Mrs. Leola E. Nelson of Chickasha, Okla Mrs. Austin had lived with her daughter Mrs. Schipporeit since 1949.
