Downs Aug. 22, 1920 and they farmed until 1975, when they moved to Abilene; he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1976; also preceded by two sons, Ray Eldon in 1954, and Francis Elbert in 1956, three sisters and one brother; survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vera (Curtis) Garver of Abilene, four grandchildren, Stanley Downs, Gene Downs, Carolyn Englebach and Murl Garver, and a sister, Grace Knisely of Abilene.
