Description	:	STANFORD May S. Gore was the principal and a teacher in Windham before teaching in Stanford and various grade schools in Central Montana for 45 years, retiring in 1968. Mrs. Gore, 80, died Thursday afternoon in Central Montana Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Cora Creek, the daughter of Johnson and Elizabeth Strong. She was educated in Windham and graduated from Fergus High School in 1923. She taught elementary school in the Buffalo, Mont, area. In 1929, she married E. F. Spot Sperry. Mrs. Gore, 80, died Thursday afternoon in Central Montana Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Cora Creek, the daughter of Johnson and Elizabeth Strong. She was educated in Windham and graduated from Fergus High School in 1923. She taught elementary school in the Buffalo, Mont, area. In 1929, she married E. F. Spot Sperry. They lived in Winifred until 1944 when she moved to Belt to teach. She attended college in Dillon, Havre and College of Great Falls during summers to get a teaching degree, receiving her certificate in elementary education in 1946. She then taught in Hobson for many years. She married Clyde Gore in 1953. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Montana Education Association, Senior Citizens Club of Stanford and was the Red Cross first aid instructor for Judith Basin County. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Dee Voth of Choteau; seven sisters, Verna Dubois of Missoula, Gertrude Ludeman of Lewistown, Helen Willey and Mrs. John (Sylvia) Ward, both of Windham, Judith Neill of Stanford, Mrs. Lloyd (Allegra) Stout of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Robert (Jean) McCullough of Hobson; two brothers, Russell and Arthur, both of Windham; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
