Her funeral is 1 p.m. Monday at the Stanford Presbyterian Church, with burial in Stanford Cemetery. Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her children, Judy Neill of Stanford, John (Marsha) Neill of Windham, Sharon (Buzz) Short of Helena, and Bruce (Rita) Neill of Great Falls, Mont; grandchildren Clint (Brenda) Samson and Shawn Samson of Great Falls, Cheri (Mark) Tonne of Helena, Elizabeth (John) Casselli of Potomac, Mont, Karnes (Roselle) Neill of Lewistown, David Neill of Phoenix, Ariz., and Curtis Neill of Boise, Idaho; nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Art (Dorothy) Strong of Windham; one sister, Sylvan Ward of Lewistown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judith was born in the family home in Windham on July 14, 1915, the seventh of 11 children born to Johnson and Elizabeth (Collins) Strong. Judith was named for the Judith Lily flowers that were blooming at the time of her birth. She attended school in Windham, graduating from Windham High School in the spring of 1934. . On Oct. 10, 1934, she was united in marriage to her high-school sweetheart, Edwin Neill. They began their married life on the Neill family farm north of Windham. In 1953, they moved to Stanford, where they built and operated the White Wolfe Motel until 1973. Judith enjoyed travelling and playing cards, and belonged to several bridge clubs. She was an active lifelong member of the Windham and Stanford Presbyterian Churches. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; one grandson, Zane Samson; two brothers and six sisters. Friends are asked to make memorials to the Hospice of Central Montana or the charity of their choice, which may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
