Description	:	Sylvan Adelle Ridgeway 1923 - 2018 Lewistown - Sylvan Adelle Ridgeway, 95, of Lewistown, passed away on October 18th, 2018. Sylvan was born on a ranch East of Windham on March 21, 1923 to Johnson and Elizabeth (Collins) Strong. After graduating from high school Sylvan married Russell Gordon Ridgeway in Fort Benton, MT on September 28, 1942. Sylvan was a... Read More	Sylvan Adelle Ridgeway 1923 - 2018 Lewistown - Sylvan Adelle Ridgeway, 95, of Lewistown, passed away on October 18th, 2018. Sylvan was born on a ranch East of Windham on March 21, 1923 to Johnson and Elizabeth (Collins) Strong. After graduating from high school Sylvan married Russell Gordon Ridgeway in Fort Benton, MT on September 28, 1942. They went to work at the Albert Kochivar Ranch in Windham and later out to Grampa Miller's Ranch where they started their family. In 1958, they moved from that ranch into Windham where they resided. Sylvan was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved her children dearly and was always there for them. She was a hard worker. When the family worked countless hours on the ranch there were always three big meals prepared and waiting for them. You would never know just how well a Cadillac could hold to the gravel roads unless you rode with Sylvan. Sylvan belonged to the Windham Women's Club and was part of a bowling team that traveled into Lewistown for league play. Her husband Russell passed away on October 22, 1981. Sylvan moved into Shepherd's Way in September of 2004. Sylvan is survived by her children: James and Karolyn Ridgeway, Charles and Marie Ridgeway, Lynda Reiman, Rodney and Pam Ridgeway, and Kent and Janet Ridgeway; grandchildren, J.R., Barbie, David, Josh, Caleb, Travis, Tina, Treena, JeriAnn, Heidi, Adam, Andrew, Mikei, Jennifer, Lacy, Josh, Kala, Melissa, and Jennifer; 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell; three brothers; and seven sisters. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Stanford Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Windham Hall. Memorial donations can be made to Central Montana Hospice. Arrangements are under the care of Creel Funeral Home.
