Description	:	Corda Kathleen Hoffman, 88, of Buckhannon Road, Volga, passed away on Thursday, July 10, in Mansfield Place, Philippi, following an extended illness. She was born September 25, 1925, at Kasson, a daughter of the late William H. and Virginia Elizabeth (Wilson) Boylen. On December 12, 1942, she married Elzia Bertman Hoffman, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2004. Surviving are two children, Dianna Nellie Kelley and husband, Johnny, Volga, David Loren Hoffman and wife, Kathy, Nestorville Community; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Cordelia Wilson and Oletta Hester Fortney, by one brother, James Thomas "Grover" Boylen and by one great granddaughter, Megan Moore. Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member and the oldest member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Shiloh Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Hal Sonafrank and Pastor Garry Clem officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi, from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon when Mrs. Hoffman will be moved to the Shiloh Church of the Brethren where friends may call from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour.
