Description	:	Curtis Robeson, 81, of 202 S. Oak St., died at 11:20pm Thursday in Community Hospital here where he had been a patient for nine days. Mr. Robeson, a retired New York Central Railroad engineer, was born Feb. 24, 1881, near LaFayette, Ind., the son of Wallace and Effie Robeson. He was married in 1901 to Orpha E. Buck who died in 1933. In 1937 he came to Buchanan and that year married Hazel A. Beck, South Bend, who died in 1953. Mr. Robeson, a retired New York Central Railroad engineer, was born Feb. 24, 1881, near LaFayette, Ind., the son of Wallace and Effie Robeson. He was married in 1901 to Orpha E. Buck who died in 1933. In 1937 he came to Buchanan and that year married Hazel A. Beck, South Bend, who died in 1953. He had been a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Masonic Lodge of Dayton, Ind. Surviving are: two sons, John F. Robeson, Niles, and Raymond M. Robeson, Michigan City, Ind., a daughter, Miss Catherine Robeson, Ann Arbor; two step-sons, Lyle Burrus, Buchanan, and Richard Rose, South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. G.E. Bausman and Mrs. R.S. Hancock, both Springfield, Pa., and several grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the Swem Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert A. Fall, pastor of First Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10am on Saturday.
