Description	:	Cynthia Quivey Nixon She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Fletcher Quivey and was born on March 9, 1886, at Humboldt. For about five years she taught at Humboldt County rural schools and on Jan. 5, 1910 she married at Humboldt to Thomas A. Nixon. After farming at Renwick for about 15 years, Mr. Nixon operated a Standard Oil wagon at Renwick. They then moved to Pocahontas where Mr. Nixon was a Standard Oil field man. Mrs. Nixon was a member of the Eastern Star and of the American Legion Auxiliary of which she was past president. She was also a member of the WSCS of the Methodist church as was a past noble grand of the Rebecca lodge. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. D. W. Johnson of Pocahontas, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. Lee and Byron Quivey of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mable Reynolds also of Des Moines, Iowa.
