Description	:	Cynthia S. Hunhoff, age 63, of Yankton, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at her home in Yankton. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with a rosary at 6:45 p.m., and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters or Pathways Shelter for the Homeless in her memory. Honorary pallbearers are the Irene Class of 1974 and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Willard #967. Burial will be in North Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Menno, South Dakota. Cynthia S. Johnson was born October 17, 1956, in Menno, the daughter of Melvin and Helen (Utke) Johnson. She graduated from Irene High School, Class of 1974. She married Joseph E. Hunhoff on August 23, 1975, in Yankton and were later divorced. She owned and operated Holiday Party & Paper for 30 years and became the new “Lisa” of Lisa’s Fashions in 2005. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 40 years and served as the Regent for Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Willard #967. Committed to community service, she coordinated donations to benefit the Bishop Dudley House and Pathways Shelter for the Homeless. She crocheted hundreds of blankets for the residents at Sister James Nursing Home and volunteered with the Downtown Yankton Association, Ribfest and Riverboat Days. She was a devoted Minnesota Twins fan, enjoyed playing cards and baking her famous homemade apple pies. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family. Surviving are four daughters, Melanie (Jon Paul) Lupo of Brooklyn, NY, Julie (Megan) Hunsen of Queen Creek, AZ, Stacie (Christopher) Hammond of Memphis, TN, and Abbie (Nichols) Seliski of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren, Shayla, Torri, Josephine, Anthony, Benjamin, Mae and Calvin; three sisters, Sharon (Robert) Rempp of Paradise , AZ, Bonnie (Curtis) Nielsen of Parker and Betty (Dennis) Hansen of Cherokee, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Connie Jensen and one brother-in-law, Jerome Jensen. Wintz & Ray Funeral Home
