He resided on Country Club drive, Lake Manitou. Mr. Robbins, a native of this city, moved to Los Angeles in the 1920s but returned in 1945 to join his father, the late Charles ROBBINS, in the Robbins Implement company. Following his father's death in 1952, he continued to operate the business until 1966 when it was sold to Charles FEAR. Mr. Robbins later was employed, from 1968-72, as a sales representative for Wilson Corn Products here. Born Cyrus Howard ROBBINS on March 17, 1908, he was the son of Charles E. and Elva LACKEY ROBBINS. His marriage was July 12, 1952, at Monon, to Thelma SPRAGUE RAMSEY, who survives. Mr. Robbins was a veteran of the U.S. Air Corps in World War II with service in the Auropean theatre. He was active in local affairs, serving as director of the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis club and the Rochester School Building Corporation that helped erect local elementary buildings. He was a former trustee of the First Baptist church and was serving as deacon there at his death. He also was a member of the Elks lodge, American Legion and Lake Manitou Association. Surviving, besides the wife, are his step-mother, Mrs. Ollie ROBBINS, Rochester; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Mae WRIGHT, Mrs. Edith PERRY, Mrs. Angelin TURNER and Mrs. Edgar (Grace) BLIGH, all of Los Angeles; and nieces and nephews. Last rites will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Donald MAUGHAN officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
