She passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 26 days. She passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 26 days. She attended school in Nelson and graduated from Hastings College. September 2, 1939, Leona (sic) married Leslie Troudt at her parents' home. This union was blessed with three sons. Leone was a bookkeeper and worked at various businesses, Rural Electrification Association of Nelson, Jennings State Bank in Davenport and Voc Tech, Nash Finch Co. and Jerry Spady car dealership, all in Hastings. Leone was a loving and devoted wife. She was very dedicated to her three sons. When asked to give a helping hand, she was willing to give of herself to others. She loved music and played both the piano and organ. Her summers and falls were busy canning vegetables and fruit. Grandmothering fit Leone well. Her granddaughters and grandsons enjoyed her talents and humor. Her great grandchildren loved her also. She had been living at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings for the last four and a half years. Leone was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Alma, Nebraska. She was a former member and choir director at her churches in Nelson and Davenport. She also was a member of Rebekah Lodge. Preceding her in death were her parents; an infant daughter; one son, John; two grandsons, Nicholas Troudt and William O'Neil; four brothers, Junior, LaVern, Robert and Clifford Adamson; and three sisters, Peggy VanBuren, Faye Hutchinson and Jeannie Adamson. Survivors include her husband, Leslie, of the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska; two sons, Robert Troudt and his wife Bev of Wauneta, Nebraska, and Carroll (Coke) Troudt and his wife Cindy of Lawrence, Nebraska; one daughter-in-law, Patsy Troudt of Nelson, Nebraska; one brother, Dwight Adamson and his wife Erma of Exeter, Nebraska; one sister, Marvel McMullen of Denver, Colorado; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2001, at Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska, with Rev. Harold Backus officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art", "Jesus" and "In the Garden" with Alfred and Janell Hanson as vocalists and Carlita Price as organist. Interment was in Nelson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ryan Troudt, David Dennis, Eric Troudt, Dave Nickelson, Casey Troudt, John Himmelberg, Tim Lane, Brian O'Neil, Dan Clem and Jonathan Dennis. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
