Mr. Ray was born the son of General Marion Ray and Myrtle Russell Ray on September 16, 1935. He was educated at Oak Grove School near Andrews, SC, and at Andrews High School. He was the Business Manager of Annandale Plantation at the time of his death. Mr. Ray was born the son of General Marion Ray and Myrtle Russell Ray on September 16, 1935. He was educated at Oak Grove School near Andrews, SC, and at Andrews High School. He was the Business Manager of Annandale Plantation at the time of his death. He will be remembered for his 43 year legacy of Christian missions' ministry throughout Central and South America, "Gloria A Dios". Dan and Betty Jo Eaddy were married July 10, 1957, and celebrated 55 years together. From their blessed union survives three children, Marsha (Wally) Kreisle, Cindy (Horace) Goins, and Danny (Linda) Ray; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Dan bids farewell to two brothers, Bobbie Ray, and Frank Ray; three sisters, Betty Lou Goodwin, Elizabeth Johnson, and Annie Mae Pugh. He joins his departed family: his parents; his brothers, General Marion Ray, Jr., Lethan Ray, David Ray, James D. Ray, Don Ray, and John Ray; his sisters, Adrea Fulton, Ruth Forbes, and Sara Ray. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Georgetown First Baptist Church directed by Dr. Ted Sherrill and administered by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. A committal ceremony with military honors will be 3 p.m. in Bethel Cemetery.
