Auburn The body of the late Dana Whitcomb Jacobs, who died at the hospital in Iowa City Sunday afternoon, was taken to Mt. Mr. Jacobs was a former resident of Cedar township, but for the past nine years he has made his home in Iowa City, where he was employed at the University Hospital. He had been in poor health for several months and the immediate cause of death was meiotic acid poisoning. He was born in Wheatfield, New York August 19, 1854 and was almost sixty-three years of age at the time of his death in 1907. He had married to Miss Sarah Abbott and to this union were born the two sons, Thomas D. of Morley, and F. L. of Omaha, Nebraska, surviving. The daughter Avis, died at the age of sixteen years. August 3, 1917 In 1892, he was united in marriage with Miss Ida Fuller and to them three children were born, Maude, Leona, and Leon, all of whom with their mother, survive him. Two brother, M. Jacobs of Antwerp and C. M. Jacobs of DeWitt, and one sister, Mrs. Zilpha Harrington of Ashtabuls, Ohio, also survive him. Funeral services in charge of I.O.O.F. of which Mr. Jacobs was a member, were held in the Schneider Bros. Funeral Parlors, at Iowa City, Tuesday, afternoon, and the body was then taken to Mt.
