A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Laurel Run Church of God. Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Chidister; five sons, Cecil R. Sisler, Margate, Fla.; Dr. Hugh Sisler, Beltsville, Md.; Bennett D. Sisler, Littleton, Colo.; Dr. Edward Sisler, Raleigh, N. C.; and Dennis E. Sisler, Baltimore; seven daughters, Mrs.... Funeral service was conducted Friday morning at Laurel Run Church,with Rev. Joseph Gaudy officiating. Interment in Blooming Rose Cemetery. --Meyersdale Republican, 7 May 1973
