Description	:	Held Rites for David Butcher, 68 David Butcher passed away at a Clarinda hospital July 22, at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 10 days. He had been in poor health the past 13 years. He was the youngest son of David and Elizabeth Butcher and was born August 11, 1883, in Manteno, Shelby County, Iowa. Read More	Held Rites for David Butcher, 68 David Butcher passed away at a Clarinda hospital July 22, at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 10 days. He had been in poor health the past 13 years. He was the youngest son of David and Elizabeth Butcher and was born August 11, 1883, in Manteno, Shelby County, Iowa. He lived a number of years in the Bethel community and in 1910, he came to Logan, where he spent the remainder of his life. He worked on the railroad for a number of years and after that at other work. He never married and made his home with his brother, Seymour. He leaves to mourn his passing his brother, Seymour Butcher, and five nephews and eight nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Cora, Myrtle and Sarah, and two brothers, John and Jeremiah, as well as four half-brothers and two half-sisters. Funeral services were held at the Bolton - Cranston Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, with W. N. Graves in charge. Music was furnished by Evelyn McKay and Arlene Stoner. Bearers were Tom Sennett, Ray Dickinson, Stanley Sprinkle, Harley Frazier, with interment in the Bethel cemetery.
