Elliott Funeral Saturday Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock for D. C. Elliott, an old resident of Superior, who passed away Nov. 12. Rev. J. E. McElroy had charge of the services and interment in Evergreen. The obituary: David Coulter Elliott was born at Morning Sun, Louisa Comity, Iowa, March 5, 1870 and died at Superior, Neb., Nov. 12, 1947. Mr. Elliott grew to manhood in the Morning Sun community. At an early age he united with the Reformed Presbyterian church (sic) which be served faithfully during his life. He served as deacon and rulling (sic) elder for over thirty years in the Superior congregation. On March 3, 1897 he was joined in marriage to May Cubit, also of Morning Sun. The fiftieth anniversary of this union was celebrated last March. Five children were born into this home: Lloyd C. of Superior, John R. of Phoenix, Ariz., Martha Andrews of Kanopolis, Kan., and Clifford W. and David W. who preceeded (sic) father in death. Mr. Elliott began his career as a farmer in Iowa and followed this occupation until ill health forced him to retire in 1942. In 1906 he moved his family to the farm north of Superior where he lived until he became ill. Besides his wife and three children, he leaves to mourn his departure eight grandchildren, two sister, Mrs. Almina Wilson, Muscatine, Iowa, and Mrs. Della Reynolds, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and two brothers, R. R. Elliott, Parkville, Mo., and the Rev. D. H. Elliott of Pittsburgh, Pa.
