Elliott Passed Away July 15 Susanna May Cubit was born at Morning Sun, Iowa, July 19, 1874, and died at Superior, Neb., July 15, 1951. Mrs. Elliott grew to womanhood in the Morning Sun, Ia., community. Early in life she united with the Reformed Presbyterian Church of which she was a faithful member during her entire lifetime. She loved her church and her Saviour with a deep devotion. On March 3, 1897, she was united in marriage to David C. Elliott, also of Morning Sun. Together they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on March 3, 1947. Mr. Elliott passed away in November of that same year. Five children were born into this home: Lloyd C. of Superior; John R., Phoenix, Ariz.; Martha Andrews, Kanopolis, Kan.; and Clifford W. and David, who preceeded (sic) Mrs. Elliott in death. Their early married life was spent in Iowa. In 1906 they moved to a farm north of Superior where they resided until 1942 when they moved into town. Besides the three children, Mrs. Elliott is survived by eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Delber Elliott of Mars, Pa., and Mrs. Elizabeth Baird of Morning Sun, Iowa, and a brother, Albert Cubit of Fort Morgan, Colo. Her kindness and helpfulness, her gracious hospitality endeared her to all with whom she came in contact. Her quiet and devout life will long be an inspiration to all who knew her. Funeral service were held at the Denny Funeral home Wednesday, July 18, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. C.E. Caskey of the Superior Reformed Presbyterian church (sic). Interment was in Evergreen.
