Description	:	David Herbert Vrooman died very suddenly Saturday morning about 7:30 at the home of his nephew, William Vrooman, southeast of Venus. Mr. Vrooman was going to the barn when he was stricken with a heart attack and dropped over dead in the yard. He had been suffering from heart trouble for about two years and while his death was sudden it was anticipated at most any time. Read More	David Herbert Vrooman died very suddenly Saturday morning about 7:30 at the home of his nephew, William Vrooman, southeast of Venus. Mr. Vrooman was going to the barn when he was stricken with a heart attack and dropped over dead in the yard. He had been suffering from heart trouble for about two years and while his death was sudden it was anticipated at most any time. David Herbert Vrooman was born in Sauk County, Wiscnosin, December 18, 1874 and departed this life March 25, 1944 at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 7 days. At about seven years of age he moved with his parents to Iowa and then to their home in Venus, Nebraska. When Herbie was a young man he went to South Dakota and lived with his brothers; then later spent some years in Washington and has resided the past six years at Venus. Herbie was instructed in the ways of the Lord when a boy and since childhood has been a faithful follower. Though quiet and unobstructive, his life was one of service to those around him. His was a meek and quiet spirit. His parents and four brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Cora Stevens, Auburn, Washington; one brother, Roy Vrooman of Eagle Butee, South Dakota; nieces and nepphews, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Venus church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and interment was in the Enterprise cemetery.
