Description	:	Frank Floyd Vrooman, for many years a resident northwest of Venus died suddenly Monday morning at 1:30 at his home near Page. He had not been ailing and his sudden death was a shock to members of the family and friends. Read More	Frank Floyd Vrooman, for many years a resident northwest of Venus died suddenly Monday morning at 1:30 at his home near Page. He had not been ailing and his sudden death was a shock to members of the family and friends. Mr. Vrooman lived near Venus for about thirty years and a year ago last spring after the terrible catastrophe, when the tornado struck the Vrooman home in which Mrs. Vrooman lost her life, Mr. Vroman and son, Charley, being injured and all the buildings on the farm blown away, he moved near Page, where his daughter, Rose, kept house for him. The deceased was a very industrious man during his active years and was honorable in his dealings with his fellowman. In his passing the community has indeed suffered a great loss. Frank Floyd Vrooman was born in Sauk County, Wisconsin November 8, 1880 and departed this life November 8, 1943, age 64 years at Page, Nebraska. He came to Venus, Nebraska when about a year old where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Pearl May Pease, at Niobrara, Nebraska on July 4, 1903 and with the exception of about six years had made their home near Venus. He has been a member of the Methodist church since boyhood. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 12, 1942, also two children who died in infancy. He is survived by three children, Rose and Charley, of Page, William and wife, and three grandchildren, Shirley, Marvin and Leland Vrooman of Venus; two brothers, Herbie of Venus; Roy of Eagle Butte, South Dakota; one sister, Mrs. Cora Stevens of Auburn, Washington, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. A loving Father, friend and neighbor has gone to his reward. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon of this week at the Venus church at two o'clock, with the Rev. Samuel McKeown, of Elgin delivering the last rites. Rev. McKeown, for years was a minister at Page and was a close friend of the Vrooman family. Interment was made in the Interprise [sic] cemetery, beside his wife.
