Description	:	Obituary from Newton Daily News and Grinnell Heral Register: DAVID ISKE RITES CONDUCTED TODAY Funeral service for David Iske, 76, Newton resident who died Monday, were held this afternoon at Toland Funeral home with his son, the Rev. Harold Iske of Michigan, officiating. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Iske, Harley and Bert Benskin, Louis Scheel, and Max and Don Hesson. (All Nephews) Mrs. L. E. Sheeler, Mrs. Clarence Bisom, and Mrs. Kenneth Livengood were in charge of flowers. (Nieces) Mrs. Paul Murdy was organist and Mrs. Art Anderson soloist. Mr. Iske married Lena Mary Shaw April 6, 1904, and eight children were born. Six sons, Charles, Theodore, Francis, Carroll, Harold, and Paul Eugene, all but Paul survive him. Also surviving are two daughters, Irene (Mrs. Guy Wisgerhof) and Geneive (Mrs. Harley McIlrath). After his wife's death in 1919, He married Maude Hitchler Pentico in May of 1922. They had three children, all surviving, Kenneth, Theodora, and Jack. Also surviving are his wife, one brother, Laurn and five sisters, Mrs Effie (W.O) Hesson, Mrs. Mae (Glen C) Hesson, Mrs. Maggie Tiedje, Mrs. Rose Bair and Mrs. Sophia Mathers; 35 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
