Dave was born April 1, 1949, to Howard J.E. and Mabel (Jahrmarkt) Heller. He graduated from Hooper High School in 1967, briefly attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and served in the U.S. Army. Local survivors also include a great-nephew, Thad Frey of Hooper; a great-niece, Hope Frey of Fremont; as well as numerous cousins and friends in the Hooper and Fremont areas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard F.W. and James Heller, both of Hooper; a niece and nephew-in-law, Linda and Jerry Frey of Hooper; a nephew-in-law, Little Brown of Alabama; a great-niece, Wendy Heller of Texas; and a great-nephew, Matthew Frey of Hooper. A private gathering for sharing memories and scattering of cremains will take place on the Heller family farm at a later date.
