Read More	Rustler/Sentinel May 27, 1998 Howard Heller, Jr. Howard F. Heller, Jr., 71, of Hooper died Tuesday, May 1, 1998, at his residence in Hooper. He was a lifetime Hooper resident. Howard was born August 30, 1926, in Hooper to Howard and Mabel (Jahrmarkt) Heller. He attended Dist. 54 School and graduated from Hooper High School in 1943. He served in the US Army Calvary in 1945. On November 21, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hooper he married Betty Bayer. Howard worked as a salesman most of his live, working for Fremont Farmers Union, he sold Purina Feed for a long time in many towns in this area and he sold insurance for Insurance America before his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper and was a past member of the church council Survivors include his wife Betty of Hooper, two daughters, Nancy Erickson of Lincoln and Linda Frey of Hooper; two brothers, Rodney and wife Gaylynn Heller of Milam, Tex., and David of El Reno, Okla; two grandchildren, Thad and Hope Frey of Hooper, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Jerry Frey; one grandson, Matthew Frey; and one brother James Heller. The funeral services were held on May 22, at the Warne-Johnson Funeral Home in Hooper. Rev. Greg Berger officiated. Alice Dam was organist and Nick Janssen was soloist. Burial was in the Hooper Cemetery Casket bearers were Tom Wagner, John Wagner, Eric Wagner, John Roman, Sr., Robert Beck, and Bob Steil. Memorials are suggested to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Hooper Volunteer Fire Dept.
