Description	:	Civil War veteran DAVID SPINDLER (Hicksville News Thursday, September 28, 1882, p. 4) “Died, Monday evening, Sept. 25th, David Spindler, aged 35 years. The funeral services were held at the U.B. church on Wednesday, Rev. S.S. Hyde officiating. The remains were interred in the Jericho cemetery. Deceased served as a recruit in the 21st O. V. I. and was a brave and gallant soldier, and when he returned from service, was so shattered in health that he never rallied and was an invalid ever since.
