Description	:	David Steider Jr., was born to David Steider Sr. and Elma Springer Steider on March 9, 1935, at Shickley and passed away March 1, 1988, at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 20 days. He was one of seven children in the family. David graduated from Geneva High School in 1952. After he and his father sold their implement business in 1956, David attended Barber College in Omaha. Read More	David Steider Jr., was born to David Steider Sr. and Elma Springer Steider on March 9, 1935, at Shickley and passed away March 1, 1988, at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 20 days. He was one of seven children in the family. David graduated from Geneva High School in 1952. After he and his father sold their implement business in 1956, David attended Barber College in Omaha. He served his apprenticeship in Hastings. After two years of service in the Army in El Paso, Tx., David returned to Nebraska where he barbered for 25 years, 23 of those in Geneva. David's life was centered on his family. He was a man of great love and great faith. By example, he shared those virtues with all who know him. David was married to Elizabeth (Betty) Dawson of Fairmont on December 26, 1957, and to them four children were born. David was preceded in death by his mother, Elma Steider of Geneva and sister Lucille Swartzendruber of Shickley. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Geneva; daughter, Ann and husband Steve Kamler of Shickley; son, John and wife Audrey of Geneva; son, Pat and wife Geri Ann of Grand Island; daughter Susan and fiance' Flint Hinrichs of Grand Prairie, Tx; father, Dave Steider Sr., of Geneva; sisters, Mrs. Ted (Frances) Roth of Crete, Mrs. Richard (Wilma) Lichti of Shickley, Margaret Uden of Vermillion, S.D.; Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Kennel of Geneva, and Mrs. James (Janet) Birky of Strang and by five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from St. Joseph's Church, Geneva, on Friday, March 4, with Father James Dawson officiating. Pallbearers were Rick Roth, Tom Swartzendruber, Mark Swartzendruber, Jon Lichti, Craig Uden and Joe Birky. Interment was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal March 10th, 1988. Husband of Betty. Married on Dec. 26, 1957. Father of Ann, John, Patrick, and Susan.
