John S. Gilmore, editor of the Fredonia, Wilson County "Citizen," died yesterday morning at the insane asylum. Previous to his derangement, Mr. Gilmore had been quite a prominent and influential citizen and influential citizen of Emporia--chairman of the board of commissioners. In 1880 he was mayor of the city. He has been in the asylum about two and a half years. His remains will be sent to Emporia to-day.
