Description	:	Dawne worked most of his life for his father, Henry Purdie in the Purdie Construction Company family business. They did motor grader and dirt moving work building roads, dams and conservation work in the NorthEast NE area. One notable project was building a road on the Santee Indian Reservation, for which the tribe was highly grateful. In the winter, they would work for the City of Plainview doing snow removal. In his later years he worked at the meat packing plant in Schuyler, NE, where his son-in-law's brother, Robert Stamm, also worked. He retired at 62 due to poor health...
