Description	:	PVT. MCCAULEY DIES IN ITALY Pvt. Delbert A. McCauley, only son of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. McCauley of Orlando, Route 2, was killed in action in Northern Italy October 21, 1944. He was a member of the 363rd Infantry regiment and received his training at Camp Blanding, Fla. Recently his mother received a letter from Chaplain Holbrook saying that the day he was killed they were under heavy mortar and artillery fire and Delbert was helping to evacuate his wounded comrades from the front lines. McCauley of Orlando, Route 2, was killed in action in Northern Italy October 21, 1944. He was a member of the 363rd Infantry regiment and received his training at Camp Blanding, Fla. Recently his mother received a letter from Chaplain Holbrook saying that the day he was killed they were under heavy mortar and artillery fire and Delbert was helping to evacuate his wounded comrades from the front lines. While in the performance of this duty, he was struck with shrapnel and killed instantly. Chaplain Holbrook said Delbert was buried in an American cemetery in Northern Italy and had Christian burial.
