Interment will be held prior to the service at Milford Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 1-5pm at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford and with the family greeting relatives and friends from 6-8 pm at the church. Delbert Dean Boshart was born July 19, 1926, on a farm north of Wood River, Nebraska to Amos and Sarah (Stutzman) Boshart, the 4th of 6 children, and passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Ridgewood Care Center in Seward at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 6 days. As a young boy, Delbert attended the Wood River Country School District #16 and later accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at the age of 13 at the Wood River Mennonite Church. He grew up working with his father on the farm, helping do daily chores and other tasks necessary to keep a farm going in the difficult 1930's and 1940's. On August 4, 1946, Delbert was united in marriage to Ardis Elaine Schweitzer and they were married for 69 years and 3 months and to this union 8 children were born: Jeannette, Connie, Lora, Arlene, Darlene, D. Russel, Rachele and Wendy. After their marriage, they moved to a farm near Beaver Crossing where he and Ardis became members of the West Fairview Mennonite Church. Delbert delivered fuel for Dick Christian's Station and later was employed for Mercer Implement for 8 years and Beckler's Implement for 22 years. He also drove a truck for 22 years for Dave Stutzman and retired in 1996. Together, Delbert and Ardis enjoyed their winters down in Arizona and when they moved to Milford joined the Milford Mennonite Church. Survivors include his wife, Ardis, Milford; daughters, sons-in-law, Jeannette Bardell, Pickrell, Connie and Don Hoile, and Lora Roth, all of Milford, Arlene and Jeff Sieck, Columbus, a son, D. Russel Boshart, Milford and his special friend, Myrna Davis, Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Merna Boshart, Wood River, Gerald and Lois Schweitzer, Richard and Eleanor Roth and Diana Schweitzer, all of Milford, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Darlene Boshart in 1958, Wendy Boshart in 1964, Rachele Boshart Mattice in 2014; granddaughter, Casey Roth; a great-grandson, Royce Mach; brothers, Aldoris, Amos, Jr., Omar and Merrill Boshart, LeRoy Schweitzer; a sister, Marjorie Miller; brothers-in-law, Cleo and Dean Schweitzer, Nelsen Miller, and sisters-in-law, Loretta Boshart, Fern Schweitzer, Shirley Boshart, Arlene Schweitzer.
