Description	:	Delbert Simon Adam, 65, of Lincoln died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at his home. Delbert was born Oct. 25, 1946, in Wilcox to Elmer and Velma (Fegter) Adam. Survivors are: father, Elmer Adam of Franklin; brother, Raymond Adam and his wife, Henrietta, of Lincoln; sister, MyRene Magdsick and Jim Peterson of Minnesota; sister, Charlene Schriner and her husband, Maynard, of Hildreth; sister-in-law, Laura Adam of Kearney and a host of relatives and friends. Read More	Delbert Simon Adam, 65, of Lincoln died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at his home. Delbert was born Oct. 25, 1946, in Wilcox to Elmer and Velma (Fegter) Adam. Survivors are: father, Elmer Adam of Franklin; brother, Raymond Adam and his wife, Henrietta, of Lincoln; sister, MyRene Magdsick and Jim Peterson of Minnesota; sister, Charlene Schriner and her husband, Maynard, of Hildreth; sister-in-law, Laura Adam of Kearney and a host of relatives and friends. Delbert grew up on a farm in the rural Hildreth area in Franklin County. He attended Ash Grove rural school then attended and graduated from Wilcox High School in 1965. After graduation, he worked on the family and neighborhood farms. Delbert then proudly served in the U.S. Air Force in Thailand during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1971. In 1973, he attended and graduated with a degree in accounting from Lincoln School of Commerce. After unsuccessful attempts at finding a job, he returned to work on the family and neighborhood farms. In early 1990, he moved to Lincoln where he worked jobs in shipping and receiving for Premium Protein Products, Cooks Ham Inc., Kawasaki Motors, Novartis and Pfizer. Delbert lived in the city but his heart was always in the country. He enjoyed looking at the crops, old and new farmsteads, and was a John Deere tractor enthusiast. He also enjoyed watching football, basketball, and car and horse racing. Delbert was preceded in death by: mother, Velma Adam and brother, Wilbur Adam.
