Delia Elaine Brugh, 78 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, Nebraska. Delia was born August 9, 1936 on the family farm south of Huntley in Harlan County, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank and Vina (Shaw) Brugh. She received her primary education at Huntley and then graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1955. She then pursued higher education at Kearney State College, during this time Delia was employed by the Kearney Hub and Rockwell Manufacturing. Delia then returned to Harlan County, where she made her home in Alma. In early years she was employed by the CO-OP Creamery in Orleans, Nebraska until beginning a long career in banking. She was employed by the Harlan County Bank in Alma for almost 30 years until her retirement. Her hobbies included crocheting and sewing. She was an avid Nebraska Football fan and had a special place in her heart for her animals. Delia also enjoyed volunteering at the Colonial Villa for several years and was a long time member of the Naponee Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Delia leaves to mourn her passing her long-time companion of 56 years, Howard Greening of Alma; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
