Description	:	Mrs. Benjamin E. Wentzell Riverport, Dec. 23 - The death of Mrs. Delilah E. Wentzell, widow of Benjamin Wentzell, Riverport, occurred at her home Wednesday evening at the age of 82 years 10 months. Deceased had been in failing health the past year but was able to be about the house and assist lightly in the chores. About 6 weeks ago she was severely stricken by illness and death came not unexpectedly. Mrs. Wentzell was one of the most highly respected citizens of the community. Wentzell, widow of Benjamin Wentzell, Riverport, occurred at her home Wednesday evening at the age of 82 years 10 months. Deceased had been in failing health the past year but was able to be about the house and assist lightly in the chores. About 6 weeks ago she was severely stricken by illness and death came not unexpectedly. Mrs. Wentzell was one of the most highly respected citizens of the community. Possessed of a bright and cheerful disposition, she enjoyed life, was happy in chatting with her neighbors and friends and will be missed by a wide circle of friends. Since her marriage her church life was linked with that of her husbands, St. Matthews Lutheran, of which she became a member. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and a life member of the Womens Missionary Society, and was keenly interested in all church activities. She was the former Delilah Zeporale Conrad, of Rose Bay, daughter of Samuel Conrad and his wife Sarah Meisner-Conrad. Since her marriage she resided at Riverport where her husbands death occurred ten years ago. Predeceasing her also was a twin daughter Sadie, wife of Aubrey Haughlin, who passed away five years ago. Surviving are four daughters, Ida, Mrs. Lawson Himmelman, of Riverport; Carrie, Mrs. Arthur B. Lohnes, of Rose Bay; Elsie, widow of Roseville Conrad of East LaHave, who has resided with her parents since her husbands death, and Winnie, Mrs. E.H. Himmelman of LaHave; an older sister survives, Alma, widow of Abner Conrad, of Rose Bay, and a younger brother, Willett Conrad, of Rose Bay and Riverport. A sister predeceased her by several years, Ida, Mrs. Albert Knickle, of Lunenburg. There are 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The funeral was held today from St. Matthews Lutheran Church, conducted by her minister, Rev. G. Minke and interment made in the family plot in Shepherd Hill Cemetery, Riverport.
