Mrs. Haughn had not been in good health for many years and became seriously ill five months ago, the last three and a half months of which were spent at the V.G. Hospital Pavillion. Wentzell. In early life she followed the teaching profession and taught successfully in various schools in the county. Possessed of a kindly and quiet disposition, she will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends. Besides her aged mother and husband, she is survived by one son, Chief Petty Officer Writer Quentin A. Haughn of Halifax; her twin sister, Elsie (Mrs. Rosville Conrad), of Riverport, who were inseparable during life and her constant companion during her illness; Ida (Mrs. Lawson Himmelman), of Bayport; Carrie (Mrs. Arthur B. Lohnes), of Rose Bay; and Winnie (Mrs. E.H. Himmelman), of LaHave. Funeral services were held from St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Rose Bay, conducted by her pastor, Rev. A.L. Conrad of St. Matthew's, of which church, the deceased was a faithful member. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
