Description	:	Linda Ethel Maggard, 102, of Sterling, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Tennant Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Tennant, with the Rev. John Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Linda was born Oct. 21, 1905, to Pleasant and Mandy Ellen (Creech) Gillum in Grayson, Ky. She completed secondary school to the eighth grade, and attended business school in Illinois. She married Homer A. Maggard in Fort Morgan. They were married for 52 years. Linda worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell in Sterling; a bookkeeper for Maggard Electric, the business she owned with her husband. She was also a homemaker and collected payments for REA. She enjoyed sewing clothes, crocheting, reading her Bible and paper back Westerns. Linda was five days short of her 103rd birthday. Her family thought it would be a great tribute to celebrate her life on her birthday, Oct. 21, for her funeral. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley J. Ramey and Patricia A. Falk and husband Wayne "Jack"; grandchildren, Roger and Beth Falk of Castle Pines, Linda and Jed Walker of Highlands Ranch, Sandy and Bernie Acre of Sterling, Martha Martin of Loveland, Allen Ramey of Padroni, Dorcas and Dennis Brekel of Sterling and David and Pennie Ramey of Atwood; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer A. Maggard; son, Homer Arthur Maggard II; and son-in-law, Bruce A. Ramey. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund in care of First Baptist Church, South Eighth Avenue and Columbine, in Sterling. Her mother was Amanda "Mandy" Ellen Creech Gillum (born 10 July 1874 in Elliott County, Kentucky, USA). Plez and Mandy were the parents of at least 7 children: Henry, John, Eliza Bertha, Delinda "Linda", Lillie, Isaac Manford, and Beatrice Martha - all born in Kentucky,
