Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Dakota City, NE with Rev. Karen Tjarks officiating. Burial will be in Crawford Heights Memory Garden Lutheran Cemetery in Denison, IA. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. DeLoris was born on September 2, 1928 in Charter Oak, IA, the daughter of William and Alvena (Alff) Quandt. When she was six months old the family moved to Paradise Township in Crawford County. She attended rural school through the eighth grade. DeLoris married Raymond Evers on September 3, 1950 in Denison, IA. They were married thirty-five years before Raymond passed away in June, 1985. The couple lived on Raymond's family farm in Arion, IA before moving to Dakota City in 1965. DeLoris was a very involved member of Salem Lutheran Church in Dakota City, the South Sioux City Fraternal Order of The Eagles and the Dakota City American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, yardwork, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was the best mother in the world. DeLoris was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alvena Quandt; her husband, Raymond Evers; two sisters and brothers-in-law, VaNetta (Swede) Spreng and Berniece (Alvin) Woebke.
