Description	:	Delsie L. (Beethe) Woltemath, beloved mother, wife, daughter and good friend went into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father at Tabitha of Crete, Nebraska, on August 18, 2016. Delsie was born on the Louis Beethe family farm near Elk Creek, Nebraska on November 13, 1931, the oldest child of Louis W. Beethe and Anna Louise Maria Ida "Ida" (Baucke) Beethe. Delsie attended grade school at St. Peter's one room school in rural Elk Creek, Nebraska and was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on March 25, 1945. Delsie was born on the Louis Beethe family farm near Elk Creek, Nebraska on November 13, 1931, the oldest child of Louis W. Beethe and Anna Louise Maria Ida "Ida" (Baucke) Beethe. Delsie attended grade school at St. Peter's one room school in rural Elk Creek, Nebraska and was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on March 25, 1945. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1949. Delcie married Eldon Woltemath May 7, 1955. In 1958 they bought farmland 2 miles south of Langdon Missouri, along the Missouri River. Eldon tragically lost his life in a tractor accident April 3, 1959. Delsie retained the farm and moved with her children to Tecumseh in 1960 to be closer to family. Delsie returned to the Tecumseh Building and Loan as their Chief Bookkeeper. In 1968 Delsie moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. She received her B.S. and M.S in Education at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Delsie worked for American Express Marketing until retirement. She remained active in retirement as a State Historical Society-Kennard House tour guide, Lancaster County Election Board Member, and a Voting Precinct Poll supervisor for many years. She was inducted into the Poll Worker Hall of Fame Jan 2009. Delsie had a passion for geneology and held positions on the governing committees of the Beethe and Baucke reunions and played a major role in maintaining the Beethe and Baucke geneology books. Delsie loved gardening and landscaping the yard. The consummate dog lover, she was especially fond of her pugs. She is survived by: daughters, Eldonna Woltemath and Denise Woltemath; her beloved pug, Misty Mae; extended friends; family and loved ones. She is preceded in death by: husband, Eldon Woltemath; parents, Louis and Ida (Baucke) Beethe; brother, Verlyn Beethe; and pug dogs Baxter, Muffin, Chuckie, Buffy, Ling-Ling and Pugsley. Graveside service on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Elk Creek, Nebraska. Obituary information from Roper and Sons Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska.
