Description	:	Dennis Daniel Werts was born on a farm east of St. Edward, NE. Dennis began his education at Mt. Pleasant Country School and attended St. Edward High School. On December 31, 1954 Dennis was united in marriage to Viola Mary Zabka at the St. Edward Catholic Church Rectory. The couple lived in St. Edward until 1966 when they moved to their farm west of St. Edward. He is survived by his 3 children: Theresa Gladfelter and husband John of Rockwood, MI; Joetta Lund and husband Steve of Genoa, NE; LeAnn Lindgren and husband Jeff of Albion, NE; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Duane Werts and wife Donna of St. Edward, NE; William "Bill" Werts and wife Iola of Columbus, NE; Jerome "Jerry" Werts and wife Linda of Humboldt, NE; 2 sisters: Delores Torson and husband Art of St. Edward, NE; Patricia Nelson and husband Homer of Genoa, NE; along with other relatives and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Viola on April 24, 1992; granddaughter Kelsey Lindgren; sister Annie Werts; brother James and an infant brother.
