DeWayne was born December 15, 1942 at Alma, Nebraska, the third of six children of Burnett and Genevieve (Barnes) Kimberly. He received his education at Holdrege. Following his education, DeWayne was employed in construction and tree service for many years. DeWayne was born December 15, 1942 at Alma, Nebraska, the third of six children of Burnett and Genevieve (Barnes) Kimberly. He received his education at Holdrege. Following his education, DeWayne was employed in construction and tree service for many years. In 1989, DeWayne was injured by a falling tree and was unable to work due to the paralysis from a brain injury. In 1983, DeWayne met Patty Wright of Holdrege and they were blessed with two sons: Aaron and Michael. Since his accident he resided at home with his family who cared for him faithfully. DeWayne enjoyed reading western novels, watching western movies and loved to draw. He leaves to mourn his passing his life companion, Patty Wright of Holdrege; three sons: Aaron Kimberly of Kearney, Nebraska, Micheal Kimberly of Holdrege and Toby Snyder and his wife, Amanda of Hutchinson, Kansas; five grandchildren; one sister, Barb Rogers and her husband, Leroy "Bill" Rogers of Holdrege; two brothers: Robert Kimberly of Oxford, Nebraska and Larry Kimberly and his wife, Arleta of Holdrege; two sisters-in-law: Bonnie Kimberly and Denise Kimberly both of Holdrege; special aunt and uncle, Jule and Harmon Barnes of Wilcox, Nebraska and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Ronnie Kimberly and Melvin Kimberly.
