Funeral Services are being held privately at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim, John and Jeff Weiland, Nate, Colton and Jeff Mallinger, Keith and Dean Grimm, and Don Mallinger. Dolores Jeanne Grimm was born April 2, 1929 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Gertrude (Grossman) Grimm. She was a 1947 Ellwood High School graduate. She married Leslie Mallinger on May 7, 1949 in Clinton, Iowa; he preceded her in death on July 3, 2015. Dolores worked in real estate sales for many years, worked for Medical Associates for 12 years and for Nielsens for 6 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, was an active member of the church circle, served on the church council, served communion, and was a vital member of the communion outreach to Charlotte County Home project. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and a delegate for older Iowans. She was a Foster parent for 20 years. Dolores is survived by two children: Steve (Barbara Evans) Mallinger of Clinton and Gregory (Jean) Mallinger of Helena, Montana; seven grandchildren: Nathan (Cindy) Mallinger, Jefferey (Michelle Weese) Mallinger, Resa Mallinger, Shelby (Justin) Siebert, Courtney (Tyler) Van De Voort, Brittany (Dylan) Palmer and Stephanie (Odin) Nett; 19 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister, Marlene Hansen of Clinton, sister-in-law Arlene Grimm of Charlotte, Iowa; and number nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and her son Gary Mallinger. Memorial may be made to Zion Lutheran Church – Clinton.
