Dolores was born on July 1, 1935 in Ord, NE to Erlo and Elsie (Hain) Cox. She attended school in North Loup, NE and graduated from North Loup High School with the class of 1953. Read More	Dolores R. Bennett, age 84, of Kearney, formerly of Oxford, NE passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at St. Luke's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney. Dolores was born on July 1, 1935 in Ord, NE to Erlo and Elsie (Hain) Cox. She attended school in North Loup, NE and graduated from North Loup High School with the class of 1953. She married Wayne Monk on September 25, 1953 in North Loup. They lived in North Loup for a number of years before moving to Oxford, NE in 1968. Wayne passed away in 1991. She married Myron Bennett on July 3, 1993 in Oxford, NE. Dolores worked at Fox's Department Store in Oxford for over 20 years and later McGee's Grocery Store. She will be fondly remembered for her baking and sewing. Dolores enjoyed playing golf, dancing, canning, enjoying the lake and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving relatives include her husband, Myron Bennett of Kearney; daughters, Toni Brooks of Grand Island, NE and Tami Kuhl and husband Randy of Franklin, NE; sons, Scott Monk of Oxford, NE and Mike Monk and wife Janet of Santa Monica, CA; brothers, Gary Cox and wife Merna of Boulder, CO and Darrell Cox and wife Janet of North Loup, NE; grandchildren, Joe Brooks and wife Nancy of Albuquerque, NM, Spencer Kuhl and wife Sarah of Kearney, David Brooks of Hastings, NE, Jay Kuhl of Franklin, NE, Dan Brooks and wife Carly of Kearney, Rebecca Hajek and husband Josh of Kearney; great grandchildren, Baylea, Elin, Elliette, Isla, Payton, Preston, Paxton and Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Monk; sister, Vicki Cox: son in law, Eugene Brooks, Jr.; 3 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter.
