Description	:	Donald Gale, son of Mr. and –Mrs. Lawrence Gale, was born in Akron January 6, 1928, and attained the age of 28 years, 2, months: and 19 days. He grew to manhood here and attended St. Joseph parochial school and Akron High School, from which he graduated with the class of 1948. During his four years of high school "Jug" As he was familiarly called was very active in sports, participating in baseball, basketball, football, and track. Later he played with Akron's, town baseball team arid was on of its most popular members, hardworking and a good- sportsman in every situation.... In the fall of; 1952 he entered his country's armed forces, serving 18 months in the European: sector. He has since been working, for his brother, "Frienchie." A young- man of- genial nature and exemplary habits, here gained: a host of friends, who held him in high esteem. All unite in extending sincerest sympathy to those near and dear to him in their sad and sudden bereavement. Left to mourn his untimely departure are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gale;, four brothers, Orville, Francis and Matthew, of Akron and Joseph, of El Monte, Calif.; five sisters, Agnes' and Eileen, of Sioux City; Mrs.; Marcella Pick of Sergeant Bluff, la.; Mrs. Madeline Burke, of Sioux City, and1 Mrs. Gertrude DeMascio, of ElMonte, Calif.: and his fiancee, Patricia Campbell, of Miller, S. D. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Rev. Fr. J. G. Skahill officiating. A requiem high mass was sung by the church choir. Acting as pallbearers were Robert Gant, Donold Gant, Jack Lamoureux, Charles Adams, Richard Dirks.; and George Kilker. At graveside services in the Catholic Cemetery, military rites were conducted by Hosohler Post No. 186 American Legion, of which the deceased was a member.
