Description	:	Rites Thursday for Donald Mayer Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23rd for Donald G. Mayer, age 62, of Sherwood, who died in the Mohall hospital on Monday. Rev. Eugene Werner will officiate at the services in St. James Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. Rose Brown will be organist and special music will be provided by Mr. Terry Miller. Casketbearers will be Kenneth Traxel, Ward Luchsinger, Terry Johnson, Bill Solometo, David Walker and Timothy Schweitzer. He was raised there and farmed with his father. He married Gloria Jones on July 26, 1950 at Sherwood and they farmed in Calquhoun Township, Renville Countv until his death. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Sherwood. Surviving are his wife, Gloria; six sons, Kenneth, Bennie, Lynn, Thomas and Warren of Sherwood and Eddie of Minot; two daughters, Mrs. Ward (Betty Ann) Luchsinger of Sherwood and Mrs. Kenneth (Peggy) Traxel of Bismarck; three grandchildren, three brothers, Henry of Norwalk, Calif., John A., and Jerome of Sherwood; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Adelaide) Hagstrom and Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Walker, both of Minot.
