Survivors include his wife Gladys of Superior; daughters, Barbara Johansen and husband Les of Marquette, Nebraska, Phyllis Shroyer of Superior, Nebraska, Janet Cerny and husband Joe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cheryl Rothchild and husband Marlin of Aurora, Nebraska and Diane Focken and husband James of Ansley, Nebraska and sons, Steven and wife Jocelyn and Dennis and wife Stacey all of Superior, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren: Todd Cerney and wife Christy, Jerome Cerny; Blake Berry and wife Melissa, Phillip Barry and wife Sara, Clint Shroyer; Kayla and Lindsey Johansen; Ryan, Heath, Tanner and Brody Focken; Chad and Sarah Rothchild; and Haley and Jared Shroyer; and 5 great grandchildren: Cailyn and Cayce Barry; Katie and Emma Cerny and Tarissa Barry; one sister, Beulah Ray of Superior, Nebraska; other relatives and a host of friends Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Ethan Feistner officiating. Music was "Amazing Grace," and "How Great Thou Art," with Carol Shambaugh as soloist and Carlita Erickson as organist. Pallbearers were Todd Cerny, Jerome Cerny, Blake Barry, Phillip Barry, Clint Shroyer, Ryan Focken, Heath Focken, Tanner Focken, Brody Focken, Jared Shroyer and Chad Rothchild. Honorary Pallbearers were Kayla Johansen, Lindsey Johansen, Haley Shroyer and Sarah Rothchild. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
