Donald was born April 16, 1915, in Lone Tree, the son of John and Mary (Fountain) Musser Sr. He married Marcella Kuen on Oct. 18, 1941, in Norway, Iowa. A proud veteran of World War II, Don served three years and nine days with the 240th Army Engineers, primarily in the Pacific Theater. He worked for Link Belt-Speeder FMC for 36 years, retiring in 1982 as an inspector. Donald is survived by his daughters, Pat (John) Van Sickel of Palo, Connie Musser of Cedar Rapids, and Lisa (Randy) Wing of Rosehill, Kan.; a son, Gary Musser of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Amy (Aaron) Friedel, Chris Van Sickel, Carrie Van Sickel, Scott Musser, Cory Musser, Tina (Toby) Thurston, Bret Musser, Troy Musser and fiancee Laura White, Samantha Wing, and Ben Wing; great-grandchildren, Aidan Friedel, Marik Lyons, Noah Musser, Kiara, Grace and Adison Musser, Tyler Thurston; and a sister, Jean Stock of Lone Tree. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marcella; three sisters; and six brothers. A memorial fund has been established toward Macular Degeneration research.
