Funeral services were held Tuesday at Sorden's Funeral Home in Lone Tree, with the Rev. Albert Best officiating. Burial was in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Mr. Musser was born Sept. 29, 1903, in River Junction, the son of John D. and Mary (Fountain) Musser. He married Ethel Gosenberg July 15, 1924 in Cedar Falls. A retired farmer, he served 25 years on the Lone Tree Volunteer Fire Department, 20 years as a Johnson County Field Assessor and had been a Fremont Township Trustee and Lone Tree City Council member. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, E. William of Lone Tree; two daughters, JoAnne Waldschmidt of Riverside and Sharon Keeler of Ainsworth; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harry of Hills, Willis of Iowa City, Donald of Cedar Rapids and Dana of Lone Tree; and two sisters, Naomi Hale of West Liberty and Jean Stock of Lone Tree. He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were Mark Sojka, Russel Keeler, Kurt Musser, Jeff Musser, Kenneth Waldschmidt and Keven Waldschmidt.
