Description	:	Donald Lee Rust was born on a farm east of Nelson on June 12, 1928, to Smiley Ivan and Alma Wilma (Klawitter) Rust. He was the fourth child born to this marriage - the others being Mildred, Clyde and Wayne. They... Read More	Donald Lee Rust was born on a farm east of Nelson on June 12, 1928, to Smiley Ivan and Alma Wilma (Klawitter) Rust. He was the fourth child born to this marriage - the others being Mildred, Clyde and Wayne. Don passed away on March 6, 2006, at the age of 77 years, eight months and six days, at the Exeter Care Center in Exeter. After graduation, he came back to Nelson and worked for his brother-in-law, Clifford Adamson, on a farm northeast of Nelson. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Laurine McCutchan. They were married on June 3, 1947 (sic). To this marriage, four children were born - JoDee, Janice, Jeanne and Steve. Don was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church. Don was preceded in death by his parents Smiley and Alma; wife Laurine; brother Wayne; son-in-law LeRoy Royal; and brother-in-law Clifford Adamson. Surviving Don are his children Steve, and wife Mary Rust of Geneva; JoDee, and husband Paul Mika of Exeter; Jan, and husband Kurt Myers of Geneva; and Jeanne Royal of Lincoln; brother Clyde and wife Marion Rust of Mountain Grove, Mo.; and sister Mildred Adamson of Lincoln. Also surviving are grandchildren Lisa, and husband Aaron Blake of Araphoe, Jamey and wife Melissa Myers of Geneva, Matt Myers and fiance' Dana Miller, Brandee and husband Ryan Norris of Beatrice, Mike Mika of Wahoo, C.J., Tiffany, Marcue and Kyle Rust of Geneva, and Amanda Royal of Lincoln; great-grandchildren Colton and Kiley Blake, Karson and Eli Myers, Devin and Dylan Norris, Avary Rust and Jordan Royal. Funeral services for Don were held on Thursday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. from the United Methodist Church in Geneva with Pastor Ron Harris and Pastor Lynn Strandt officiating. Sue Kleinschmidt accompanied the congregation who sang. The poem Should You Go First was read by Tiffany Rust. Casket bearers were grandsons, Jamey Myers, Matt Myers, Mike Mika, C.J. Rust, Marcus Rust and Kyle Rust. Honorary Bearers were granddaughters, Lisa Blake, Brandee Norris, Tiffany Rust and Amanda Royal. Interment was in the Nelson Public Cemetery in Nelson.
