Brown, who preceded him in death. He then married Gladys I. Ford, who survives in Florida. Also surviving are two daughters: Donna (Tim) Longmeier, Lima, and Laura Ford, Hilton Head, NC; a son, Steven (Kim), Mooresville, NC; a sister-in-law, Jan Ford, Cridersville; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A 1950 graduate of Lima Central High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served during the Korean War as a Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class. He spent his career working with the U.S. Postal Service. He began in the Lima Post Office and retired as Post Master with the Columbus Grove Post Office. After he retired he spent his time working as one of the first greeters at Meijer’s. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He loved golfing and spending his winters in Florida with his family. Services will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel, with Rev. Rob White officiating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
