OBITUARY- DONALD SHAWHAN A rare disease known as lymph-sarcoma proved fatal to Donald Shawhan, 31, at his Humboldt home at 9 o'clock last Thursday night. He had been ill for six months, but continued his work at Beard Bottling works at Humboldt until the middle of June. In July he was taken to the University Hospital at Omaha where he was told few such cases had been treated. Two days before his death Shawhan contracted hypostatic pneumonia. He was married to Miss Helen Hoagland at Hiawatha, August 6, 1933. Survivors besides his widow are two sons, Billy Donn and Jerry Dean; his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Shawhan and a sister, Mrs. Fern Buss, all of Humboldt.
