Description	:	Donald V. Hitsman, of Clay Center, passed away on Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at Medicalodge, Clay Center. Donald was born April 7, 1923, at Beloit. He was a general contractor, worked at the City Light Plant and later was a carpenter at Fort Riley until retiring, He was a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by two grandsons. The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Broughton Cemetery in Clay County. Memorials may be made to the Donald V. Hitsman Memorial Fund.
