Bormann, 87, died December 3, 2014, at Baptist Care Center, Bismarck, North Dakota. Donald was born August 25, 1927 at Parkston, South Dakota. He was the son of Fred G. Bormann and Mary (Krause) Bormann. He attended school in Stickney and graduated from Stickney High School. He graduated from Yankton College with a degree in business administration. Don served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War. He returned to Stickney where he was employed at the Farmers State Bank, then moved to Denver where he was a real estate investor for 32 years. He married Matilda (Bucky) King, a professional textile artist and author who ranched and raised polo ponies in Sheridan, Wyoming, on October 28, 1993. They spent summers at the ranch and winters in Scottsdale, Arizona. Bucky passed away August 6, 2003. Don continued to live at the ranch for several years, moving to Bismarck in 2010, where he resided at Touchmark. Don enjoyed golfing, classical music, and investing. He was gifted with a fine mind and an excellent sense of humor. He will be missed by his brother, Ivan, of Bismarck, his sisters-in-law Lois and Carol, of Sioux Falls, his brother-in-law Sam Masoudi, of Denver, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Gladys Neugebauer, Vernon, Earl, Marvin, Carol Masoudi, and Donna, his brother-in-law, Gerhardt Neugebauer, sisters-in-law, Rose and Margaret, and his niece, Sharon Osthus. Memorials may be given to The Silver Ridge Cemetery, The Blooming Valley Cemetery, or The Bismarck Mandan Symphony Orchestra.
